Jan Sokala

a third-year Cinematography student at the Director of Photography
& Television Production Department (WOiRTv) of the Polish National Film School in Łódź. He is a cinematographer for several short films and music videos. He has worked as a camera operator on the feature “Lachtara – Tęsknota” (dir. S. Chondrokostas, dop: P. Wojtowicz; currently in production) and on the TV Theatre production “Zapiski z wygnania”, a monodrama performed by Krystyna Janda.

 

He values thorough preparation and a good atmosphere on set. As a cinematographer, he is developing skills in the field of on-set special effects and VFX post-production, combining traditional filmmaking techniques with modern visual solutions. Recipient of a Special Mention Award for cinematography at the Vilmos Zsigmond International Film Festival in Szeged.
